Republic Rules - The U.S.A. is a great representative republic.

An ongoing discussion of how it works… and why it works.

Uncharitable Charities

Americans have always been supportive of those in need, whether in a land far away or within our own country.  Giving is a moral obligation that comes from the heart… and from the individual.  It has nothing to do with government and everything to do with being a good citizen.

Donating money, however, is only half of the equation.  The other side concerns WHERE your money will go.  If you choose wisely, your contribution and intentions will be complete.   Being careless, though, may make you feel good but your money will be wasted.

Many are just vehicles to pay the fundraisers or the executives, with very little actually going to help people:

Generally, it’s best to give to a local group you know, where you can see the good your money does.  If you want to donate to some other group, DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST.
