Major Business Opportunity
I have finally resigned to the fact that, with very few exceptions, the news media is biased. Not just a little bit… SOME bent in one direction or another is bound to creep into reporting… I’m talking about a significant and readily apparent perspective being expressed in their presentation of “news”. This is the sad current situation with almost all newspapers, magazines, radio , television, and internet news sources.
The major purveyors of “news” now treat it the way they have traditionally treated OPINION. Actual news is dead… it is ALL opinion.
Of course, the dominate news organizations are free to do what they want… it IS America, after all… but I object to them CALLING it news! It is opinion. Plain and simple. Which is fine. But let’s call it what it is. I think it is deceitful… and WE are the targets.
So, there is a BIG business opportunity. If an organization comes along that EARNS the reputation for presenting the FACTS fairly, honestly, and completely… THEY will become the “gold standard” for news, and all other news outlets will be thought of as “entertainment”or “opinion” groups.. or what they are: liars. Where there is a market opportunity, and this one exists, somebody will recognize it and fill the void… it is the nature of our free enterprise system. And, when the new true news group gains their reputation, all other current “news” organizations will become “has beens” and their credibility will be totally destroyed. While they might continue to survive in the entertainment industry, these former news organizations will no longer be trusted.
The NEW news media will become the “go to” source for real news… the “definer of facts”… the arbiter of truth. They will confirm information before revealing it, consciously avoid inserting opinion into their presentation, share all sides of the story, and allow US to decide the true meaning of those facts.
And they will be put on a pedestal. Good, bad, or otherwise… people value the truth… because it is hard to find.
