Nationalize The Refineries!
I could not believe what I was hearing:
In America, home of the FREE ENTERPRISE system that has made us such a great nation from the very beginning, there are now serious discussions about nationalizing oil refineries… not just wacko camera-seeking communists but an elected member of our Congress!
Right….
Like I trust our government to do a better job at ANYTHING, much less the complex task of managing oil refineries.
Like STEALING a massive amount of private property would somehow be OK with everyone who owned stock in those companies that own the refineries (don’t forget about the stock held by your retirement plan!).
Like subverting our economic system is the right thing to do.
Like EVEN SUGGESTING such a thing is an option in the American way of business.
Like these people have any clue about economics.
THESE IDIOTS MUST BE SHOUTED DOWN! Their insane ideas cannot go without a response. Make sure YOUR voice is heard. Even if you don’t care enough about this particular issue, will you care when they want to nationalize a business you DO care about?
