If My Candidate Doesn’t Win, I’m Leaving The Country!
Why do celebrities have a spiteful habit of threatening to leave the U.S. if THEIR political candidate doesn’t win an election? This happens all too regularly… and, of course, they never follow through. But they certainly want you to listen to THEM because, God knows, they have more intelligence and greater depth of thought about political and economic matters! After all, THEY know what’s right for our great country, NOT YOU.
Fame, and the adoration that goes along with it, has a nasty habit of deluding these people into thinking they are PERFECT… that, in addition to being good actors (!?!), they automatically become experts in everything. I wouldn’t want to watch a movie starring my doctor… and I certainly wouldn’t turn to a movie star for medical advice, but that kind of thing actually happens. Only FOOLS would listen to them… but, sadly, there are a lot of fools.
I seriously doubt most celebrities would have achieved anywhere near their level of success if it wasn’t for our great economic and political system but, now that they are “on top”, it is only THEIR OPINIONS that need to be heard. Right.
If you want to stand behind your threatening words, LEAVE! But don’t just move out of the country:
- renounce your U.S. citizenship
- don’t work for U.S. movie makers
- don’t invest your money in any U.S. companies
- don’t seek U.S. doctors, hospitals, and drug companies for your medical needs
- don’t look for U.S. legal protection when your new home country taxes your wealth away
- don’t expect your U.S. fan base to continue putting you up on that pedestal
- and don’t come back.
Our country didn’t become great because of fair weather, self-centered, closed-minded citizens. Who needs YOU?
